Shure BLX14R/B98 Wireless Instrument Microphone Set

The BLX14R/B98 is built to mike wind and percussion instruments wirelessly. The Beta 98H/C supplied with it clips onto the instrument itself.

Because it attaches to the bell of a wind instrument or the rim of a drum, the microphone moves with the instrument. The familiar problem with fixed stand microphones — the sound changing as soon as the musician shifts — disappears.

A microphone that clips to the instrument

The Beta 98H/C clamps onto the bell of wind instruments or the rim of percussion instruments. Because the microphone travels with the instrument, the player's position and movement on stage do not affect the level.

Adjustable gooseneck that stays put

A gooseneck with a ratcheting swivel joint and an angle brace lets the microphone be set to the ideal position and locked there. Once adjusted, it holds its position through rehearsal and performance.

Cardioid condenser capsule, natural tone

The Beta 98H/C is a premium cardioid condenser instrument microphone voiced for open, natural sound. The cardioid pattern rejects the other instruments on stage, preserving channel separation.
