Shure BLX14R/P98H Wireless Instrument Microphone Set

The BLX14R/P98H is the entry-level option in the BLX family for instrument miking. It works on the same principle as the Beta 98H/C model; the difference is the class of microphone in the box.

The PGA98H cardioid condenser gooseneck microphone clips onto wind and percussion instruments. In schools, rehearsal spaces and amateur group setups where budget is the priority, it delivers performance close to the Beta 98H/C at a more accessible cost.

A microphone that moves with the instrument

Because the microphone clips to the instrument, the player's movement does not affect the level. For wind sections that move around the stage and for percussion kits, that is a clear advantage over a stand microphone.

Adjustable gooseneck positioning

The gooseneck design lets the microphone be set at exactly the right angle to the instrument. Once adjusted it holds position, so no re-setting is needed between rehearsal and performance.

BLX platform and rack installation

The receiver mounts into a 19-inch rack cabinet. Up to 100 metres of range, up to 14 hours on two AA batteries, QuickScan automatic frequency scanning and compatibility for up to 12 channels per band all apply to this model.
