The BLX2/PG58 is the entry-level handheld transmitter in the BLX family. The PG58 capsule is voiced for speech and vocals, and its cardioid pattern reduces background noise and feedback.

It is the right choice where budget is the priority and the microphone will be used for meetings, presentations and general announcements rather than professional stage work. For vocal-heavy live use, the SM58 or Beta 58A models are worth looking at instead.

The PG58 capsule is tuned to prioritise speech intelligibility, which covers what meetings, presentations, announcements and ceremonies actually require.

Cardioid pattern for feedback control

The cardioid polar pattern rejects sound from the sides and rear, reducing the risk of feedback. In multi-purpose venues where the acoustics are less than ideal, that directly affects how much usable level you get.
