Shure BLX2/SM58 Wireless Handheld Transmitter

The BLX2/SM58 puts the stage-standard SM58 capsule into a wireless handheld transmitter. Anyone who knows why SM58 vocal microphones are so widespread needs no introduction: the durability and the predictable tonal character have not changed in decades.

This product is a transmitter; it does not work on its own and requires a BLX receiver. For organisations that already have a receiver, it is the most direct way to add another microphone.

SM58 cardioid dynamic capsule

The cardioid polar pattern rejects sound arriving from the sides and rear, which reduces the risk of feedback. The voicing — a lifted midrange with bass rolloff — keeps speech and vocals warm and intelligible.

14 hours on two AA batteries

It runs for up to 14 hours on two AA batteries. There is no need to change batteries midway through a long event, and keeping spares on hand is far easier than sourcing a proprietary battery pack.

One-touch pairing

Pairing between transmitter and receiver is done with a single touch. When a microphone has to be swapped during an event, the technical team is not left waiting — the system is ready within seconds.
